On December 10, NTT has hosted Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) for a remarkable Private 5G workshop. The discussion was about the application and utilization of Private 5G in Hong Kong, as well as the realization of Smart Cities using Private 5G technology.
Workshop on Private 5G Application and Realization in Hong Kong
- Opening Remarks: The workshop began with an overview of NTT and NTT docomo’s contributions to mobile wireless technologies and their future direction. It also touched on the similarities between the Hong Kong and Japanese markets in terms of 5G applications, such as automation and workforce development.
- Discussion to maximize P5G: NTT introduced its background and the reasons for adopting Private 5G. The session emphasized the approach to adopting Private 5G to maximize its benefits. Following the presentations, a dynamic Q&A session took place, addressing various perspectives such as applicable markets, technical challenges, and regulatory insights.
