NTT Lab Space is Now P5G-enabled with the First Localized Wireless Broadband System (Private) License in Hong Kong

As the first service provider to obtain the license from the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) in Hong Kong, NTT is now at the forefront to deliver advanced, secure, and high-performance digital infrastructure to the enterprises.

Key Features of P5G

  1. Ultra-fast data Transfer: P5G technology offers ultra-fast data transfer speeds, enabling real-time communication and data processing.
  2. Minimal Latency: Ultra-low latency, essential for mission-critical applications and IoT devices.
  3. Massive Connectivity: Supporting a vast number of connected devices, P5G is perfect for large-scale IoT deployments.
  4. Enhanced Security: P5G offers a highly secure environment for data transmission with its dedicated infrastructure.

NTT's leading role in P5G

NTT has been pioneering the development and deployment of P5G services by utilizing lab spaces to rigorously test and develop P5G solutions, ensuring top performance and reliability. Additionally, equipment will be provided to support field tests and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects with members, boosting collaborative innovation.

Pioneering the future of 5G

Securing the license from OFCA underscores NTT’s dedication to driving technological innovation and providing superior digital infrastructure. With this license, NTT is poised to lead the way in private 5G services, equipping enterprises with the tools they need to excel in a digital-first world.

New Equipment for Field Tests and Collaboration

New P5G equipment are ready to support field tests and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects with members. Members will be able to conduct field tests using the equipment by learning through prescribed training content.

Let's create new services and use cases by combining P5G with technologies and innovative ideas from the members.

Industries they can be used for and benefits

  • Construction sites: Safety, automated access
  • Medical facilities: Communication and tracking
  • Industrial centers: Communication and monitoring
